Finding a top for a 71

Discussion in '1969-1972 K5 Blazer | Truck | Suburban' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Aug 24, 2001.

I have a buddy that just bought a 72 4x4 K5 in pretty good shape, needs a little body work, but runs good. He stole it for $2000.00. My question is where can he find a top for it, it was almost topless !! It has a removable half cab with a rear slider window. Kewl, but he wants a full top too.

Hard tops are hard to come by. Hard tops in good shape are damn near impossible to come by. Fortunately this is not a real problem, unless your buddy gets snow where he lives. The best way to go by far is a rag top! Currently Bestop is the only one available, but Canback is about to release one, and Kaylines fast track will be made again by another brand as I understand it(God only knows when). I have used my soft top year 'round for over six years, and could easily get a couple more out of it if I took better care of it. It's a Bestop by the way. Once he has a rag top, he'll forget all about not having a hard top!
