I mounted mine to the left of the the t-case shifter, on the tranny hump with the supplied bracket. I mounted it there so it could be easily reached by the passenger or the driver. I can take a pic if you like.......

Does it get in the way of your feet? A pic would be good, if you have time. Thanks.

Mine is on the R/H side of the trans tunnel. The foot well area is big enough that it doesn't get in the way. I'd snap a quick one but my wife is out with the Dig camera. I can post one next week if you want. Let me know.

Does it have a bracket? If so you can screw the bracket to the tunnel. I ended up getting a better bracket when I did this, the plastic one looked cheep. Try to get one made for a boat or plane. If it is a plastic one I would get some large zip-ties, like the ones they use for handcuffs and zip-tie the bracket to the spare tire mount. That makes it accessable from the back window. I had my old one like that for a while. Have fun.

I've got 2 - one 2.5 lb Dry Chem mounted on the side panel behind the passenger seat, and another 2.5 lb Halon 1211 mounted on the trans hump in front of the center console.

Heres what I'd do, As well as keeping one in the cab, Under the drivers seat or somewhere like that where you can grab it easily, I'd take a couple and mount them INSIDE the cab with the hoses going through the fire wall, And aimed at the engine, Reason being the heat if you mounted them inside the engine copartmant itself the heat whould make them explode!! So then in the case of an engine fire you just pull a cord or something and BOOM no more fire, (You hope)

I am going to mount mine on my rollcage. I figured the main hoop would be good. One on each side. I have no top, so they should be easy to get too!

your right. I don't understand the jeep thing!

Driver's seat frame, between frame and door. I got a decent-sized one, so with the head of the extinguisher all the way back to the end of the seat frame, the bottom of the bottleextends a few inches into the footwell area. Every now & then I hit it while getting out, and it's not good on the plastic mount. I'm gonna find the metal (boat) mount and replace the mount, and probably throw a Velcro strap on the front part of the seat frame for extra support. Still be quick to get into action, though...

If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style...

Mine has velcro on it... I stuck in on there and it's right under the front edge on my seat (drivers) seat stuck to the carpet.... I opted to not put anymore screws into the floor since the previous owner sort went nuts with them and it's already holey....

Mine is mounted in the bracket hanging from the top right above the console between the seats. Its high enough that I will never bump it, and totally in arms reach.
