I have a Panasonic DV palmcorder and about 6-12 months ago I transfered a bunch of videos from the camera to the computer via firewire cable.
Now fast forward to present time and it won't work. I have the camera on, PC on, and the cable hooked on both ends and the program I use to capture says the cable is not plugged in etc.
I am using Pinnacle Studio 8 program to capture the video. Just the basic version that came with the firewire card when we installed it.

    What could be wrong?

    windows XP, firewire cable 1394...
