Ok so some of you know I am up in Mammoth Lakes, Ca quite a bit. for a while I was there more than in SoCal. Anyways out of my whole life(22yrs) as well as my parents time being up here(50yrs) none of us have never not been able to make it back to SoCal. Well today ended that streak. I left the house about 1pm to head south and sat on the road going out of town until about 5:30 until CHP started turning everybody around. Apparently there was an avalanche near Bishop (45 miles south of mammoth) that crossed the highway. The current update was saying maybe tomorrow morning/early afternoon for open roads.

I have some pictures of just how much snow fell over night. When I get back I'll post em. It's been crazy. People are just IDIOTS!!!!! I ended up just getting so fed up waiting for people to figure out how to drive in the snow. I pulled 2 trucks out of the way and pushed one car out of the way just to get down my street.

I can think of a million worse places to be stuck. Have fun! No decent snow locally. Mostly rain.

This is looking up my street from my driveway...this is suppose to be a 2 lane road
    [IMG]

and this was looking down......"let's see the road is half a lane wide and snowy and icy let's stop in the middle of the hill and lie under our car and put on chains" People AMAZE me:rolleyes:

This was the drive home this morning. Road conditions were like this for about 50 miles which took almost to hours to drive

There were some motorhomes up there. I would have liked to see them get out though. As for the camp grounds I'm not really sure if they have any of them open or not. The only motorhomes I saw were in the parking lot of the ski lodge and then in the parking lot where most of the snowmobile trails come out of
