Fitting 38 w/a 8\"lift without cutting the fender

How can I fit 38" TSL on my 85 Suburban w/a 8" lift without cutting the corner of my front fender? Did anyone ever do this and how can I solve this problem?

I have 9 in (6 suspension and 3 body) and 38 TSLs and I dont have any problem clearing. flcpl4fn has 8 in and 38 12.50s on his w/ 8 in springs. My fenders are trimmed, but that was done to clear 40s w/ just a 6 in by the previous owner.

I have pics of mine but dont know if Don does or not.

Use stiff springs and keep the sway bar connected. Extend your bumpstops too. That should keep the rubber off the sheetmetal, although it won't be flexin too well.

IMO anything over 6 in doesnt flex too well anyway. I dont think hell need to extend his bumpstops, thats only 1 in lower than my rig, and my rear got full stuff w/out hitting. Now on the front w/ the wheels turned I may hit, I dont know.

Unless the added weight of the Sub makes a big difference.

ive got 8" springs on my blazer and with my swaybar still attached im clearing 39.5 boggers with no rubbing...if i flex in the least bit they will catch but it can be done on the road...im working on the zero rate install and ord shackle for the front...thatll give me a little more breathing room...

off road the boggers will eat metal front and back
I had 10" (8+2) and the 38.5s would ripp the rear of the inner fenders in the twistys

oh yeah i know...i disconnected my swaybar and twisted it up in the backyard and all i heard was that machine gun sound of bogger ripping through fender...i just added a 2 inch body lift to my wish list...
