    fitting TSL 42\'s on a K5

What is involved in fitting 42" TSL's on a K5 with a 6" susp. and a 1" body? I know there will be MAJOR trimming and probably losing the inner fender liners. I had also planned on moving the front axle forward 1" to help with cab clearance. What problems will I run into? I would like to know all of the little problems that might arise.

Stephen-How did you modify the front marker lights for the fender trim?

we went over some of this on the phone, basically I think you're on the right track. No matter what it's going to take some messing around with, but shouldn't be too bad with the list of mods you have.
The markers are just cut in half, they're non functional at this point, no bulb in the back.

Holy old post. That had to be one of my first posts. I cant believe this is back at the top. Just goes to show how much we all mature with our wheeling rigs, and ORD can take credit for a lot of that with me.

Yeah me too, I want to run 40's or 42's. I think Im probably around 6 inches of suspension with 1 inch body and pretty flexy springs.

I was running 44's with 6" suspension and no body lift for a while. It rubbed in a few areas that trimming wouldn't fix... such as the cab and the inner wheel wells when I had them in the rear. The new suspension will be 52" springs with a zero rate pushing the axle foreward 1.5" up front and the 64's I had with whatever size block/zero rate it takes to level them with the front. Overall I'll have roughly a 115" wheel base from my K5 chassis so my tires should be well out of the way of the cab this time around.

15" lift and cutting would probably do it for 50's
