I work at a Sear's auto and we charge $12. We dismount the tire, drill out the hole with a reamer (to cut away any peices of belt that may damage the plug), put in a patch plug (disk with a stem on it) from the inside with rubber cement and bead sealer, then we re-balance the tire and wheel. They didnt use one of those crappy brown rope plugs did they?

I used to work at Winston, and I think we charged like $12, but since I quit I've gotten two flats repaired for free.

I usually pay $8.00 at Tire World - Winston did it for free but they closed up shop and became a Brake Masters.

Take it to Discount Tire, its free! We drll the hole, buff the area, scrap the area with cleaner, then apply rubber cement then install a its like a plug/patch its a 2" circle patch with a long plug at the end of it, then pull it thorough, then score it then coat the whole thing with repair sealer.(this is all done in side the tire) Just figured i would let you know

After i just read all the posts its just like Biggray71 Does at sears but for free

Yeah, i work at Discount Tire in Dallas. The deal with flat repairs is...if you have bought tires from DT and have the receipt..you get it done for free. Im not sure how much it costs otherwise...but to be honest with you...i have never seen paperwork that has a fee for a flat repair. I can try to find out for you.
