Just discovered that 2 of my dana 44 front diffs on the yard (one from 74 blazer, other from 76 3/4ton 4x4) have the flat top pass side steering knuckle (desired for crossover steering) yet went to a friend of mine who has a few and none of his are flat top. are these particularily rare or anything? how much would the knuckle be worth? what type of steering arm could a guy use on it? any input appreciated...Thanks...ED

I think they were on most of the Pre-74 3/4ton P/u's..... A little rare..

I have seen the knuckles on the net for anywhere from $20ea to $100ea....

Rockstomper can probably get the arms you need as well as TriCounty Gear....

Scott at Rockstomper is on the boards and is a great guy. I would start there. The last time I talked to him he said he may have a source for these...

I think there are more non flat topped knuckles then flat topped. I've machined non-flat topped knuckles into flat top knuckles for a friend of mine with a YJ. Once I have it mounted on the mill it doesn't matter if it's flat topped or not. It only takes a second to mill it flat. Then I can drill and tap it while it's still mounted.

i recently pulled a pair(you need both to do the conversion) off a 74 jeep wagoneer. this thing had drum brakes, but the spindle bolt patterns are the same. i paid the guy 50 bones for the pair.
