Please help if you've got any info regarding front windshield pillars for 72! I flipped the ghiamonster and now she's in need of resurection. Oh yeah, probably gonna need a new top too. Any insights on where to find this stuff would be appreciated

Sorry to hear! where are you located at. Best bet is search the salvage yards, preferably one that specializes in classic chevys. Maybe buy a cheap beater, get the parts you need and part the rest. Good luck.

I'm located in Seattle, it seems as if there are bunches of K5's up here but not many in the "scrap bin" yet.

If the channel for the top is in more or less good shape, maybe you can use the windshield frame from a pickup and graft the channel to it (don't know, no experience here with that, I'm just thinking out loud here).

I had good luck hunting for a blazer windshield frame in the Bay area. Also got rare inside hatch hardware on the same trip. Arizona's all fished out for K/5s. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Thanks for the help guys, I don't have any experience with it myself (thankfully) unfortunately I'll be forced into a crash course on learning the ropes. I don't see any reason why a p/u frame wouldn't work, I'll check into that too!

talk to board member natj*p. He has a tub and rolling chassis for sale in Kirkland. Did you go to the 4x4 swap meet this weekend at the Puyallup. I saw a couple of Blazers for sale and two tops (both sold by the time I got there.)
