    Thanks for the input I've gotten so far. I found another solution. I called some salvage yards in my area and asked if they cut out floor sections. They told me they can, and they did. I bought a floor section out of a very clean, but wrecked front end K5.. No rust whatsoever on this thing. And they only charged me 100 bucks for the whole interior section. Not to shabby I think.

    J.C.Whitney has all the sheetmetal needed to replace the whole floor from the firewall back...and the supports underneath as well as the whole rocker panel system...
