I am really wanting to wheel a little before the Martinez run . Anyone want to run something ? I can't and won't wheel alone .

OK UPDATE . I plan on meeting at Florence off Cottonwood Canyon rd between 8 am and 830 am , and starting at 9 am .

Easier trails for seat time , we can still have fun , and if the big dogs show , they know what they can run already :D

I am thinking Middle to Upper Woodpecker so everyone can get through .

West Valley guys , I show up to Table Mesa , so you can show up to Florence :wink1:

Whatever the consensus is . I am up for either Florence Junction again , or Table Mesa . Nothing too hard , need seat time with the locker up front .

Never been to TM....I'd love to do FJ but I'm trying to get my stock 56s put in.. I did the ORD shackle flip during thanksgiving and as I put in the 56s, I realized the polys I had were too small for the forward spring eye. I had to put the 52s back in and check around for the correct poly size. I think 1 3/4 but not sure, have to measure again.

I can do FJ the way my truck is now... just looks weird with the rear at 6" and front still at 4"..... Once I get the 56s in, I'll level everything back out so it's at 4 or 5" again.

Anyways, Paul my 241 isn't clocked flat and no skidplate for it... think it'll be okay to wheel the rough areas of FJ? I went through Box Canyon and that was nothing.... Anything rougher than that, I'll have to be super careful...

I don't intend to really hammer on anything this trip . Just for seat time on things I have already run . Yes a skidplate is important . You would need one . I wouldn't want to HAVE TO tow you home when the case cracks and runs dry :thumb:

Yeah I wouldnt hammer on seat time either....I was just asking about skidplate since I've never done Martinez... If a stock skidplate is okay then I'll start looking for one tomorrow.... if not then I'll just meet up and ride shotgun in anybody's empty seat.

I can personally attest that this can happen even with a full belly skid, as I've broken the whole tail end of a Th350 off so you could see the planetaries quite clearly...

    Yikes!!!!!

I went around every junkyard looking for a 241 skidplate today... no luck though I did see 241s and 208s everywhere.... I might have to ask the dealerships where else to get it from...
BTW, went looking for Ford HP60s and Ford 205s, no luck....so in that case, I'm going with Chevy D60, screw Ford. At least I won't have to change out my entire driveline and still keep the 241 with the 2.72 low range. I have to admit, I didn't see a Chevy D60 either... It was a frustrating day for me....

You almost won't ever see a D60 in an AZ yard , they are keen to the worth .

You can put on a newer GM IFS 241 if you do get a driver drop axle.

Dayum that sucks... I guess I'm gonna need some help from CK5 if anybody got one laying around. I'm working some major overtime and once christmas is gone, I'll be ready to buy one.
