Flywheel question WTF??

    Ok I hear that its possible to balance a 350 flywheel instead of using a 400 flywheel when building a 383 whats the dealie O.....

    I'm sure it could be done. All that is needed is a weight welded to the flexplate/flywheel to achieve the balance.

    In my case, my machine shop welded a weight to the flywheel mounting flange of the crankshaft to achieve balance. That way I can run any internal balance flywheel I need. This was also useful if I switch to a manual tranny, no rebalance of the motor will be necessary. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

    Hmmm I might have to check into this cause that would save me LOTS of money. Anyone else done this to there 350 when they built there 383??
