    Does a 72 350 have a different size flywheel than a 79 350 ? This is on a buddy of mines truck that he just bought . we have been having a hard time with starters lasting in it .

    They should have the same flywheel.

    I have bad luck with starters unless I go with the best one whatever parts store carries.
