    For the soft top K5\'s

I am looking into getting a soft top for my K5 and was wondering if I could take my tailgate off and install a pickup tailgate in place? So I don't have the glass.

    Thanks

Yes you can. A pickup tailgate will go right in the place of your current K5 tailgate with glass. The holes for the catches and support rods are already their in the bedsides of the K5. When ever you pull the tailgate off the donor pickup make sure you get all the hardware that is attached to the pickup bedsides where the tailgate closes. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I heard it is an easy swap.

Very easy, bolts right on. Just make sure you get the hinges & arms, there are at least 2 diff versions. Complete unit will swap to any year though. I've got an 80 somthing on my '73. How's that thing coming?

If it had a soft top from the factory that is how it would have came.
