i am seriously considering a soft top for my '88 K5, and scrapping my hard top. i was wondering how well they keep heat on the inside in the winter months. i am originally from illinois, so i know what cold weather is like. i am hoping to get stationed back up that way in a year or two.

p.s. i hate it in las vegas /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Its not too bad. If its sunney, the top will heat up some. I do have to run the heater more but on wheeling trips its fine. In my old sammy, I used to hang a piece of clear plastic down right behind the seat so that the heater could keep up. The heater on the Blazer seems to keep up just fine.
