    For those w/D60 & 15\" wheels....

what wheels are you running and with what backspacing? Trying to find a cheap wheel with 3.75-4" BS is not fun. Tring to find something to keep the caliper grinding to a minimum.

    Thanks

I got some 2.5" BS, 15x10 8-lug rockcrawlers from 4 Wheel Parts for about $60 each. I didn't have to any caliper grinding. If you don't mind the tires sticking out from your fenders and you can wait a couple weeks for them to be made, then these are for you. The PN is 82-5181R2.5 and these are white wagon style wheels.

I am not sure exactly on the BS of mine, I was told 4.25, but I think they're 3.75, either way, they're 10" wide and ran me $40 each from 4 wheel parts.

I put 12X15 Eatons from National Tire and Wheel, I wanted 2.5" of Backspacing, but it was a custom ordered rim in the 12" wide version. I had to grind a little, but not too much. Had them in about 3 days too.

I bought Bart Super Trucker 15x10 steel wheels off Summit. They are 3.5" backspacing with 1/4" centers. They run from $50 on up depending on color or chrome. The D60 needed a little bit of grinding, none on the 14 bolt with El Dorado calipers.

no, i had a set I thought would work that came on my then-crusty old D60... ground em... then figured out that they were crap... so I got another set cheap and ground them. lots of grinding. I pretty much have it down now though, I wouldnt hesitate to do it again if I needed to. 16 and 16.5 rims suck... 15s forever!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Come do mine then. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm dreading it after how long it took me to do my 10 bolt.

yeah, first time i did it, it took a looong time... pretty much 1 caliper per day. I didnt know exactly how much I had to take off... so I had to keep test fitting the rim. The second time I had it figured out and ground off quite a bit b4 I even thought about doing a test fitting. I did both calipers in a day with not to much difficulty.

2.75" is what I got in Rock Krawlers (4WPW sells them). I could have gotten up to 3.50" if I wanted. I have to say bless the guy I bought the axle from who ground the caliper. After looking at them, I am glad it was him who did it, and not me.

yeppers... like i said, lots of testing. I didnt wanna grind any more than necessary and I wanted the final product to look as good as possible so I was taking my time. My street rims have that 4.25" of bs, so quite a bit of material had to be removed.

Don't waste your time & money on Wheel Vintiques, wheels, their rim has goofy bevel to it, and I started grinding on my D60, and decided their wasn't going to be much left, so I sold 'em to another poor guy! And these wheels even had a 3 1/2" backset!

yeah, if u really want to not grind to much (or at all?) get some eaton wheels, they have 2.5" of backspacing. Shouldnt take much if any grinding to run them.

i don't want to hijack this thread too badly, but does anybody have pics of a d/60 rear with various b/s? i still need to decide what to run and if i want my tires to stick out or not. decision is probably between 4" b/s or 2.5"
    thanks

I have 15x10 with 3.625" backspacing from Summit racing. They were only about $40 each shipped to my door! Then I added BEADLOCKS!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Inner Bead with nutserts.

And Shaggy loves this one... I went for the "I've got beadlocks look".
