why do all the hybrids and new cars have to look rediculously stupid? Can't they just make it look reasonably normal???

that's one of the things that i do not understand. Why cannot they just take a car that is somewhat normal for now and make it look like that? Always some off the wall look that noone wants to be caught dead in. :doah: Alot of these new concepts might make it alot futher if they just thought about that one simple concept. Would a normal everyday working class man be caught alive driving one of these?

 completely agree... hell... I'd own a hybrid (because they pay for themselves) if they didn't look so wierd! If it looked like an Accord or something, no problem. But some gay little hatchback with those fenders that go over the wheel. Seriously... maybe they don't get that people want to not look completely rediculous. Not to mention these new kinds that look like a drugged up futuristic golf cart....

I'd guess part of the reason they can't make it look normal is that they need to keep the weight extremely low. Ain't no 300 horseys under the, er, hood on that thing...
Not to mention there's probably no need for a large engine compartment on the vehicle.

Hybrids look stupid cause thats the way they make them. My saturn is light and has about 90HP, gets 37MPG.

Same you get with the Honda Accord Hybric but the Honda is a much better package, and actually faster then the straight gas version last I checked. Rumor is Honda has a 70+ MPG diesel coming, I'd jump on it if its cheap.
