Read on pirate4x4.com that someone used a Ford case with Chevy guts along with a doubler, thereby clocking the 203 box 90 degrees. If you've got any information, please let me know ASAP. I'm collecting parts to swap in a doubler. I've already got a TH400 with an NP203. The big swap meet is coming up in a week!

    Thanks

Why most you use the ford 203 case. I had just sold a 203 that is connected to a TH400 but from what I remember is you could redrill the six bolts (the adapter from the tranny to the 203 case) so that you have a 12 bolt pattern. Then you could just turn the case out 90 degrees. You couldn't use the stock crossmember. Then have Stephen make you a adapter with a new crossmember on it.

Read the post on the Pirate site now I know why he use the Ford box. I was not thinking about the shifter being on the other side. Now I learn something also.
