I did not have a GM NP-205 knob. I did have a Furd knob. Thread size is different. Drilled out & tapped furd, works great.

One of my recent magazines, either Four Wheeler or Off-Road, can't remember which one off hand, has a brand new Chevy pickup with all the bling bling stuff (multiple shocks, lift kit, etc.) on it but the guy swapped in a Ford 10.25 Sterling rear end into it. Haven't quite figured out why the Sterling and not a Corp14ff yet.....

Ask them why the Sterling over the Corp14ff? My belief was they were pretty close to being the same.

If i'm thinking of the same article he swapped both axles from a SD on his chevy and went w/the sterling instead of the 14bff is so he wouldn't have to run 2 different lug patterns.....that's my guess but who knows.

you win,DING DING DING!!! i guess the SD front axle is the same width as the rear. he said he did it for looks. and of course to keep the bolt pattern the same he used the sterling rear.:)

Yeah, but why the Sterling rear to begin with? A Sterling looks better than a Corp14ff?
