    Ummmmm........no. [IMG]

    That's a 10 bolt front.

Either the owner didn't know what he was talking about or the magazine made a misprint.

About time to come back to Earth and come to your senses that there is no factory 12 bolt front axle. They just flat out do not exist.

Your front axle is still a D44. I would bet you a million bucks on that.

Oh darn. That 12bolt front again?
Well, I had 3 12bolt rears. I wanted to convert one to a 12bolt front. I looked at it for about a week. Then I dropped the idea. Would be too much work and it would need 10bolt axles, and therefore be as weak/strong as a 10bolt. Then Lana popped up on this board, and I gave her a 12bolter. But a 12bolt front in my eyes is a myth, a misunderstanding, or a result of a handy guy with way too much time at his disposal.

  5. There they are, Loch Ness, Bigfoot, Yetti, Atlantis and the illusive 12 bolt front

I saw that two, it says it in about 3 different places. I counted 10 bolts (actually 2 are hiding behind the tie rod, so you can only see 8). It also has the little 10 bolt "ears" on the bottom. The way I figure,

    1) The magazine writer is a moron, as is the editor.

    or

    2) The owner, magazine writer, and the editor are all morons.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Idiots.

I don't see why the editor can't catch stuff like that, even if the owner doesn't know what they are talking about. The least they could do is just leave that "info" out of the article. By including it, they just make themselves look stupid.
