There is some sort of switch on my gas pedal that the upper end of my pedal arm contacts at almost full throttle. It has 2 wires connected to it. The forward wire has been broken off from where ever it goes. Does anyone have a clue where it connects?

Probably a kickdown switch. One to ignition hot power, one to the tranny.

Is your tranny a TH400? If so its the switch for passing gear. TH400 use a switch on the accelerator and a solinoid in the trans to kick it down into passing gear. Instead of a cable hooked to the carb linkage like a th350.
As said in above post one side of the switch is hot from the ign. The other side goes down to the trans. You should find the wire going into the trans body just above the pan. On the drivers side I think. Its been a while since I'v worked on a 400 and my memory aint as good as it used to be/forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Yes, it is a turbo 400 tranny. But it is not original, I swapped it in to take the place of a 700r4 a while back. So is it still the same deal?
