The other day I was playing around under the blazer and found a sender between the #5 and 7 spark plugs with a green wire hooked to it. I was thinking its the water temp sender. Any other ideers?

Nope, not oil pressure. Those are both on the driver side and I've replaced them both. I thought the water temp sender was on the manifold or the radiator. Dont think I have any other sensors. I dont have a computer either.

If you mean the sender on the passenger side right above the oilpan, thats the knock sensor, it retards the timing if it "hears" knocking in the engine, If you hold a timing light on the marks and tap the exhaust manifold with a hammer the timing should jump back.

i believe that is water temp, disconnect and see what your gauge does or pull it out and see if water runs out, should go into a water passage in the head

I believe it's water temp, too. I have seen several weird places for these fittings on the GM motors. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

I messed up and forgot I was laying looking up at the engine so its the 6@ 8 plugs and it IS the water temp sender. I was having a dyslexic moment.

My water temp is between 5 & 7. You do know that 6 & 8 is on the passenger side? I never seen a water temp for a 350 on that side. Our wiring harnesses are set up for drivers side water temp.

Yeh, Like I said I had a "moment" there. This engine and its components are all backwards.
