My frame is cracked (hairline) infront of the steering box on one of the cross member rivets. Will the steering box weld on frame brace cover this or do I just need to get it welded?

The best way is to repair the crack by stop drilling the ends of the crack, then grind a ridge along the crack line then weld in a bead along this ridge then grind it down sooth flush with the frame. Then install the weld on brace kit which should cover the repair. Then install the bolt on brace as well. this will "almost" alieviate any more crack problems in this area.
