Just talked to Ira for about an hour and a half. Either his phone or mine quit before we were done BS'ing. I'm loving this whole free long distance thing...and fully intend on abusing it to the limit if possible. :D

Anyone else have a great deal with their phone service? We pay under $40 a month and have free and unlimited North American long distance. It was pretty much a no brainer to sign up for as it was $20 a month cheaper than our old service, and under the old plan I was paying 7 cents a minute for LD.

Not a fan of talking on the phone.

I don't think I've spent over 30 mins on the phone at one time.

This is our 'landline'. They deregulated it up here a while back and once the VoIP services became available everything got really competitive. We were able to retain all the features we had, plus keep our phone number and NA long distance is free. Cheap too.

We have Vonage and are just lovin it. We can call all over the world, literally, and it doesn't cost a dime extra and it's something like 30 bucks a month.

We don't even have a land line anymore. Just cell phones. For $100/month I can talk all I want, have free long distance and never think about it at all. Plus my company reimburses me for some of the bill every month. Since we were going to have cell phones anyway, it is cheaper to use only the cell phones.

We have a good plan if it's kept in the US. Couple months back I called flathead twice and had a 75.00 bill. :doah:

Nope, it's through Rogers. Don't get me started on Shaw... I've had them for our cable internet for over 5 years and all it's done is gotten slower and slower, yet I'm still paying for what they call "high speed internet". :doah:

Yes, Vonage. It doesn't recognize where you are. I use it here. It thinks I am at home and it cost me 24.99 to make unlimited international calls to the states. I would say that's a hell of a deal!

Plus the internet of course, but 24.99 plus tax and stuff of course. All said and done it's something like 29.
