I've never tried it, but it supposedly makes a cool sound when sucking the air in. As far as performance - well, I'm sure this will turn into a dispute pretty quickly, but it will hurt performance because your engine will be taking in warm air from the engine compartment.

yeah, fender trim is a good one. You can also do the radiator-hose-power-steering-resevoir trick for free if you have an old rad hose layin around. Shaving a ff14b or calipers is free, assuming you have a grinder or whatever. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Its allows the potention for more air to be sucked in. Look at the size of the air in take tube, compared to the much larger surface area of openness.

The flip side is that the air is much warmer, whereas the air from the snorkel will be cooler. COol air is more dense, allowing more air to pack the cylinder. I've tried both ways and it seems to be a wash to the "seat of the pants" dyno.

oh yeah, forgot the part about how u need a 2nd PS filler neck. At any rate, its just using a radiator hose to make your PS resevoir hold more. Basically you hose clamp a length of hose on the filler neck... and then you hose clamp a 2nd neck into the top of said hose and reinstall the cap in that. Purdy simple and it works really well... you just have to find a rad hose, some hose clamps, and the neck off another PS res.

1. Remove top
2. Disconnect sway bar
3. If you have a factory dual shock setup, you remove one for better ride/flex
4. Airing down(although you have to air up at some point, which will cost ya!)
5. Unplug EGR if it's old/faulty
6. Remove doors for added visability
7. Gut the interior for weight and waterproof issues
8. Play with the timing
9. etc etc

Don't use radiator hose. I don't think it will stand up to the PS fluid without breaking down. Gas filler is a better choice...

Also, be careful unplugging/blocking the EGR. It will cause higher cylinder temps and may cause additional problems with ECM or ESC (including retarded timing).

What does the "additional PS resevoir" do for you??
Do the pumps run out of fluid or is it just for cooling /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
