    neighbor says i can have an old 3/4 ton chevy truck taht is at one of his friends house, problem/question.......it is a 68 year model truck. what is under that booger and will it fit my 78 K5? will it be worth the hassle of getting it?

    i am sure but not 100% that is is coil with wishbone. but i am like 98% that it is. you could make a coilover with it real easy.
    should be a dana70 or so.

    1974 Chevy Blazer Cheyanne. but it is on 33's now, with saggy old springs. i am in Yuma Arizona if ya got any parts for me.

    Good chance its an Eaton. Looks similar to a big 9" Ford, with a removable rear cover. If it has the right gears and a Detroit, its probably worth it, if not, I'd keep looking. I believe the Detroits for them are discontinued. They did often come with good gears, though.

    If it is a 60, pull a shaft and count the splines. 35 spline = keeper, 30 spline = keep looking. I think it would be a 30, but not sure.

    If it's a 68, then it's an Eaton, and there not worth fooling with. Nobody has parts for these axles anymore. Plus, there a little narrower than a 14 bolt too. So, it has an even worse problem of tracking the front axle.
