I want to convert my Full-Time 4WD with the transfer-case mod and manual hubs.

I've got my wheels apart now for other reasons. Can I go ahead and put on the manual hubs even if it is two weeks before I do the transfer case mod.

Can I keep the hubs "locked" and run as if it were Full-Time.

Or, what happens if you "unlock" the hubs, but the t-case is still spinning full time?

    Thanks,

I used to have a 77 with the full-time 203. When I bought it it had just had new warn hubs installed but no kit in the T-case. I drove this around like this for 1 1/2 years, and then sold it. It was my first 4x4 and I did'nt know anything about them. I would imagine that the T-case would still be spinning the front driveshaft without the kit installed. I really don't see this as a problem.

    Thanks, I feel better.

I assume you generally drove them around in the "unlocked" position ... so the t-case would be driving the axles, but the axles wouldn't be spinning the wheels.

Yeah I only locked the hubs when I wheeled it. Other than that I used the HI position. It never blew up, but the driveshaft was defiftely still spinning all the time. I did'nt know enough to worry at the time.[IMG]
