I look at my truck from the sidewalk and it looks like my front axle has a substantially wider track than the rear. Is it supposed to do that? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif it's all stock right now.

Yes the front 10 bolt is wider than the rear ten bolt. I dont remember the exact measurements but someone will chime in with those. Its all perfectly normal /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

that depends if tis all stock chevy or not. stock chevy one ton the front will still be wider than the rear . if you buy a 1 or 3/4 van 14ff it will mach the chevy d60 front .
if you buy a dodge dana 60 it is 2 inches shorter than the chevy so it will be closer to the truck 14bolt ff only wider by 1 inch a 1/2 inch on each side. the set up im using is the dodge dana 60 to bring the front wheels inward to get on narrow trails with a truck 14ff to keep the track width closer and wont need to hunt down the longer axle for the van 14ff

Best bet if and when you want to upgrade is get the Van width 14 its the same as the front width. makes it look better as well. Hope this helps
