Front brake rotors

Discussion in '1973-1991 K5 Blazer | Truck | Suburban' started by fireinthehole, Dec 13, 2002.

On a front 10 bolt, is there a difference in size of the rotor from a 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton? Also is there a difference in the calipers? I would like to put the larger rotors and calipers on if so.

    Thanks

The calipers are the same, the rotor is slightly larger on the 3/4 ton. You are aware that the 3/4 tons are 8 lug only and the 1/2 tons are 6 lug only, right?

  3. yep, I already converted to 8 lugs a while back. Just wondering about upgrading the front brakes, thats all.

If you converted to 8 lug awhile ago, then you've already converted to 3/4 ton brakes. Am I missing something here? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

  5. i didnt swap rotors, only had to change the hubs from 6-8 lugs. I just thought there might be a difference enough between the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton rotors to make a difference.
