When doing a 6 to 8 lug conversion on a front Dana 44, what parts can you reuse from the original setup, and which parts do you have to get from the Dana 44 HD setup? I've read that all you need to do the conversion is an 8 lug rotor and backing plate from a D44 HD and the rest of the parts you can use from the regular D44. Is that true?
