What differences are there between Dana 60 and Dana 70 front ends other than the 70 has a slightly larger ring, weighs a little more, and is about half the price of the 60?

What parts are interchangable between the 60 and 70?

Last question, which Dana 60/70 units are better? Chevy, Ford, or Dodge?

Any help would be great, Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A true D70 open nuckle disk braked front axle out of a motorhome costs WAY more than a D60.

There are some goofey dana axles out there. The two that come to mind are the closed knuckle 60, and the dana 44 shafted 60. Some people confuse these with 70's cause they are more rare. There is also a dana 80, I'm not sure if it ever made it to a front end or not. I also don't know the difference between a front 60 & 70
