I was Getting the new motor in and I noticed the shaft is really loose in the front where the slip yoke comes together, you can grab it and move it back and fourth 3/8"
It's not the ujoints, just the splines. At normal height with 4" lift the shaft sit's about 1/2 way in. What is the cure for this, new shaft? THX

if the rest of the shaft and joints are good a machine shop can replace the slip yoke section of your old shaft, you might want to compare prices on a new shaft to having that one fixed to see which is the best way to go.
