While taking some measurements for another K-5er on my new front shaft I realized that it is a inch shorter than my old
stock one (no lift) will this matter? I will soon find out when I
go to put it in but I just wanted to kill any suspicions for myself before I do.

HEY Fords!!! how many flushes does it

Front shafts are splined. So one might have been extended a little more then the other.
