    Hi All!

I have an 87 k5, bone stock. How do ya lube the front u joints at the wheels? ( is ball joint the proper term? ) I don't see a zerk fitting, and I don't want to let them dry out and replace them again.

    Thanks, Tom /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

First of all, welcome to CK5, brother!!!!

Now onto the u-joints. If they are still the factory joints then there's a good chance that they are sealed and are not serviceable. If they've been replaced they may have plugs in place of the zerks- you have to take the plugs out and install a zerk if you want to grease the joint, then replace the plugs when you're done.....

There are also recessed fittings that you can buy for u-joints that require the use of a grease needle instead of a normal grease fitting adapter.

    Hope that helps!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
