    any on know if there is a race on the pinion too i have one in the housing ed. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

    The bearing presses on the pinion with the spacer shim between the bearing and the head of the pinion, The race for that bearing is in the inner portion of the housing, the outer pinion bearing race (next to the yoke)is pressed into the housing where the pinion shaft comes out. Both races are in the housing, both bearings go on the pinion.
