The f#!ken drivers side axle shaft will not go back in. i have got the passenger side in no prob. so i pulled the damn spiders on the drivers side and slid the shaft in. Then put the spider on it and the spider will not go all the way back. It will not go together either way. someone please tell me what i am doing wrong.

How far will it not go back together. Just not enough to get the hub snaprings back on? Or not even close to go back together? I have had axles not want to get far enough in to seat the snapring, but I just put a pry bar in the axle joint and pry inward until I get the clearence necessary.

What are the tubs? the ears where the ujoint is? I wouldn't know how to fix that except to replace them.

I have some spare 10 bolt front axles. The inner won't be the same if you run a D44, but if the outer is bent a 10 bolt outer will work. If you need one let me know. I have 2 spare sets of front axles hanging around.

If the tube is bent, as in the housing itself, I think that the only way to fix it is to replace it /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

These front ends are not to hard to find and do not cost an arm and leg though, so you should be able to find something pretty easy. I got my front end from another member here, it was just the housing and gears and then I swapped all my parts onto it. And if you do get a complete axle, you will have lots of spare parts /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yes the side gear slides on real easy when not in the housing.
