    FS in Oregon/Washington: 14bsf w/4.10\'s - $50.00 or trade

Title pretty much says it all... It was going to go in a friends truck but he flaked /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif and I want it out of my garage. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

So, 14Bsf complete hub to hub (all parts are there) with 4.10 gears for sale for $50.00 plus shipping or trade

what is 14Bsf compared to 14ff. is the rear end in good shape. I am in seattle. 50 bucks is hard to beat if the rear works well.

    Topdown,

What vehicle did the rear end come out of? Is it an open diff or does it have a limited slip? I'm in eastern Oregon and would not be a problem to come pick up if it will fit my 89 K5.

    Let me know.

I just learned that its out of an 81 3/4t, open diff. I believe it will bolt straight to an 89... after its rebuilt.

Not possible /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif They didnt come out until 1986 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif But it is a direct replacement for a 10 or 12 bolt in the 1/2 ton blazer, suburban and pickups (may require conversion u-joint).

interesting... (thanks for that tidbit Kenny /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif) this is from the PM I got on it:

"The guy I got it from told me that it came from a 1981 3/4t pickup"

So, I guess I still dont know what year it came from... but it should bolt straight in.

It was probably swapped into the 81 at some point along the way (like when some 4 wheeler stole the 14FF out of the 81 /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif).

WHOA!!!!!!!!! BACK UP HERE FOR A MOMENT!!!!!!!!! '86 was NOT the first year the 14SF came out. '81 is the first year. Yep, you read that right, '81 is the first year of the SF 3/4 ton rear.
The FF and SF were like the D44 and 10 bolt fronts.....either were found in the late 70's trucks with the rear being the same situation as these fronts. The '81 on up 3/4 tons could have either axle but the majority of them came with SF's. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
