I was thinking its about time to get the drive shaft made longer the Blazer is almost ready for the road /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Is there a differenc between half ton and one ton ft drive shafts? D60 uses a bigger ujoint than half ton correct? and if so is there a hibird ujoint like the rear 10 to 14 bolt?
I would like to have custom shafts made but dont have a D60
    yet.
    Thanks,
    Bo

The difference is the 1310 series U-Joint and the 1350 series U-Joint. 1310 being 1/2 ton and 1350 being the heavier duty of the two. So you can probably keep your 1/2 ton shaft and just get the hybrid part for the front also.

    Hey,
All trucks came with a 1310 joint in the front of the front shaft. All those 60's out there come with 1310's from the factory.
The rear of the front shaft is different though depending on the case it's attached to.

That's right. I kept my existing front driveshaft when replacing my front 10 bolt with a D60. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
