FUEL FILTER

    IS THERE ANYTHING SPECIAL TO DO IN CHANGING THE
    FUEL FILTER ON MY '91 K5. I'VE ALREADY GOT THE
    FILTER BUT I WANTED TO CHECK WITH YOU GUYS BEFORE
    I DID IT. ONCE AGAIN THANKS FOR THE HELP.

    Take out the fuel pump fuse and start it. Let it run till it dies and then take the old filter off using 2 wrenches-not vice grips-and put the new one an, put the fuse back in and start it. It may take a few tries to start.

    I just yank'em and replace them. ( not actually yanking, but unbolting) You will get fuel spillage this way though.

    Bout a rag's worth of gas comes out. I just use the rag to clean up grimy tools after. :)
