I have an 88 k-5 blazer and the fuel gauge is pointing way past full. Whats the fix.
When the tank is full it does go a bit past the full mark, maybe about 1/4" past or so.
Haha I like that answer for a fix
but yeah mine does that too I wouldnt worry about it, but if it bothers you and you really want to fix it I have no idea how you would unless it didnt do it before. oh wait i know, you can draw another "F" farther past the oringinal full mark
or your fuel gauge may not be hooked up at all. Mine isn't and its way way past full
Oh is it STUCK on full?
Stuck on full = an open circuit
So does anyone have an actual fix for a gauge stuck past full ?
Could be a bad ground wire at the tank, or a bad sender.
go to the tank and unplug the wire for the gauge, i believe it will stay past full, and ground it to the frame, and it should go to empty, then if it does, it has a bad sender.
