fuel guage problem

    I have an 88 k-5 blazer and the fuel gauge is pointing way past full. Whats the fix.

    When the tank is full it does go a bit past the full mark, maybe about 1/4" past or so.

    Haha I like that answer for a fix :haha:
    but yeah mine does that too I wouldnt worry about it, but if it bothers you and you really want to fix it I have no idea how you would unless it didnt do it before. oh wait i know, you can draw another "F" farther past the oringinal full mark:D

    or your fuel gauge may not be hooked up at all. Mine isn't and its way way past full

    So does anyone have an actual fix for a gauge stuck past full ?

    Could be a bad ground wire at the tank, or a bad sender.

    go to the tank and unplug the wire for the gauge, i believe it will stay past full, and ground it to the frame, and it should go to empty, then if it does, it has a bad sender.
