My 84 has a wacked out fuel guage. It's down towards empty most of the time. I put 16 gallons in it today and it only went up to 1/8 of a tank. I dropped the tank and checked the sender out today. The sender checks fine, 5 ohms to 115 ohms on the high side. The guage appears fine too....wire off..beyond full, wire grounded....empty. Anyone one else delt with this? My K5 is a basic unit, only speedo and fuel guage. It sucks when half your panel takes a dive. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked the wire between the sendin unit and the wire bundle that plugs into the panel? I found that mine was slightly grounded knocking readings WAY off. Hope this helps.
