    Welcome to CK5.

I have TPI injection on my '79 but living in Oregon makes it simpler - all I have to do is pass emissions, which this thing does with flying colors. You I believe have to go through a visual inspection too, right? Call someone like www.fuelinjection.com and ask them the same thing. They must have to deal with that a lot.

Good luck............and go for it if you can. You will LOVE injection.

Howdy... I am doing the same thing and I live in CA.. After the install you have to take it to a referee. They will give it a sticker that says it passes.. Smog police don't care if you go ahead on smog years. Just can't go backwards.. You also can't go to a Edelbrock setup. Because it is adjustable.. You have to stick with a stock setup from a later year.. I have a 86 and am going with a 89 setup...Feel free to email me with any quistions.. My brother is a smog police referee.. So if I don't know the answer my brother does...Dan

If it ain't broke.......Don't fix it....

Thanks for the reply. Your right I do have to pass the visual first, then emissions.

I like that "adjustable" part. Like you can't use Ford injectors, or have different "chips" burned for the computer. Its adjustable, just takes more effort and know how. Try to make your vehicle cleaner, (like adding two cat.s) and they still try to screw you. EPA (or is it Kalifornia? lol) is letter of the law, not intent.

It is Kalif law.. It sucks. They are talking about going to state run inspections... That will be a even bigger mess. I am going to put everthing in stock.. Then as soon as it passes the referee.. It is all gone.. On something like this my brother can't pass it for me... They red flag the ones with the last same names and city were you live..........Dan
