I was looking for a replacement fuel tank and noticed that the 31 gallon tanks for Blazers and Suburbans were the same part#. A 40 gallon was also available for the Burb, in the picture it looked to be approx. the same size with some added bulges. Any chance the 40gallon fits the blazer? Is it even close?
Also the steel tanks I have found are made out of 22gauge. that sounds a little thin to me, anyone know what metal is used on the originals? thanks in advance.

The 40-gallon Burb tank is 6" longer than the 31-gallon. You tell me how much room you have behind your bumper /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I tried to put a 40-gallon in my shortbox, but it wasn't going to happen. Had to settle for the 31.
