First of all let me tell you this. The rivalry between Chevy and Jeep does not exist in this country. There in a rivalry between guys who only own a 4x4, and guys that actually drive off-road. But to the point now. Lots of my friends own Jeep CJ’s. Now together with my closest friend we’ve built his Jeep CJ7. We’ve built a chassis from scratch out of RVS. Then we build a body completely out of glass-fiber. We put under some Toyota Landcruizer axles with ARB lockers front and back. And here is the catch. The engine is a Chevy 350. Now this thing climbs hills like nothing I ever saw. I guess it is because the whole car weights under 2700lbs. This made us look at my K5 with different eyes. I mean, what if we did the same with a Blazer? Maybe we can get it under 4500lbs. What you guys think? Possible?

there is a company that does fibreglass body parts for the K5. in fact, i remember seeing a write up somewhere in which someone made the whole thing fibreglass from off the shelf items. but i think there were alignment problems.

Try http://www.usbody.com. This one worked for me. This is the one you want: 76-91 Blazer Body Tub FBJA-80 $5599. And that's only the tub, no hood, doors, tailgate.

http://www.bummer-kit.com is actually the one used by Four Wheeler on their Diesel Blazer project. I seem to remember the blazer being up to lik 6600 pounds and after the conversion it was down to like a little over 4000. I wouldn't go with that all fiberglass blazer look alike body. You smash a fender and your out an entire body tub....

according to the install article the weight difference alone lifted the truck 3 3/4 inches!!!!!!!!!!![IMG]it also says that the swap is not for the inexperienced, weak of heart,or basic shade tree mechanic.looks good tho.
