gas gage not workin'. quick help!

    gas gage not workin\'. quick help!

    i started up my truck today, and its fairly cold out. and come to find the gas gage to read empty. i filled up last! and theres no gas on the ground. need to know how to fix it, or whats wrong. maybe just a stuck slider? i dunno how it works, didn't look into it yet.

    It's an electrical gauge right? Mine was and it quit working. The wire running to the back was frayed and touching ground. Fixed that right up and voila, gauge worked again. Might be your problem!

    Mine says full until I have about 3 gallons left.

    /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gifOn my pick-up after I had dropped my tanks the one tank always read really full, so I used a long screw driver to tap the ground prong the gauge then worked fine.
    so to my point, check all your wires and even the fuse before you go and buy a new sender.
