aside from my rotted out, leaky rubber sections of hose that go between the filler tube and the tank, i have a gas leak right at the cap it seems. like gas sloshes all the way up and out around the cap. is this possible? seems there is always the trail of gas down the outside and inside of my fender regardless if the tank is full or neer empty. mine is a fleetside, longbed, single sadle tank, 76, no gas door, just a cap.

maybe the gasket on your filler cap went to hell, id say get yurself a new gas cap, and depending on where you live, get one that locks /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. i know i over fill mine all the time, i just cap it, bud i'd say get a new cap. but wait to see what other people say, because i might be wrong. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif good luck on that.
