Thinking back when I had my Burb, if I had it now I'd be paying over $160 a week in gas! :eek1: My Dodge diesel gets close to 20 mpg with my daily 50 mile commute. I'm filling up about every 10-11 days on average for a cost of apx $70 a tank (depends on which phase of the moon/tide/how the asswipes feel about raising fuel pricing that minute!)

How are you guys coping that drive a lot?

Haven't seen a thread about this raping we are taking lately.............:screwy:

yeah its getting pretty bad. They say it will be on average $3.20 per gallon by the end of May. I drive a lot and at 8 mpg that is not cool. I got an old beater Honda Accord that gets 35 mpg to tool around town in and work and use the Blazer for fun.

I'm driving about 600 miles a week, and it's killin me. I'm spending something like $140 a week on gas, and for a broke college kid, that's KILLING me.

I do twenty miles round trip to work. Bought a Optima style battery this week for the Harley. Guess I might ride it some on good days!

I drive about 6 miles round trip each day...and the K5 gets 15+ in town. I probably spend about $15 a week on fuel, if that.

I have a 94 mile round trip commute. I'm dealing with it with an attitude.

I drive about 20 miles a day and at 9-10 mpg, it sucks really bad. So I've been feeling the crunch this past winter because the Nissan is down due to a bad starter, which is the 4th one put on.

My bike has been down the past 2 weeks with charging problems and I'm waiting for a part to come in and put it back together. I've also got the Nissan back in the shop so I can use it when it's raining.

It sounds like your getting about 300 miles on a tank of gas. That's pretty good because I can only get right at 200 miles on a tank.

I haven't averaged it out lately cause I can't afford to fill it up, but from what my truck was doing this summer, I'm getting about 350 miles to a tank. ~14mpg ain't great, but it's a world better than the 8-10 some of yall are talkin about.

I paid $3.00/gal this morning

I fill both tanks on the ole C10, it's over $100. But with it's little 4.3L V6 I rebuilt last summer, it's getting aout 20,21. So I'm pretty ok with it. Most of it's miles get reimbursed (currently $0.48/miles), so I guess I really don't care. My GTO get's 28, the '97 K2500 diesel diesel my wife drives gets 20.
Sometimes I think how much I could save by getting something like a Jetta diesel that gets 45mpg, but coupled with that thought is me having to shoot myself if I ever saw myself in a Jetta.
