What kind of gas mileage is good for an 85 jimmy with 104000miles 305, 700r4, 4.11s, carter 625, and hooker headers and a hooker dual 2 1/4 kit?

I got 10MPG with my 305 and Qjet, 3.73's, 32's, and 100K. With my new 350 I actually got a little better mileage then I did with my 305.

My Chevy isn't broken, its just out of gas.

My stock 89 with a TBI 350, K&N, 700R4, 31s and air damn got 12.5 when I checked. I think I need to swap out my leaking exhaust for a Flowmaster cat-back and do a tune up (shakes at a stoplight)

Mine gets about 18 on the highway as well, but that's because I'm really easy on the pedal. I found that drving 10 mph slower on the highway increased my mileage by like 30%.

    I have 31s, 3.73s, a 700r4 and a 305 with 147k miles.......

I forgot to mention that I run dual exhaust with no cats. All my smog crap is removed as well because up here we don't have emmision laws. I'm sure that makes a big difference!!!

I am getting about 11.5 and that is with 35's, a 4" lift, 3.73gears and a mix between heavy and light throttle application [IMG] I could probably pull off 13-14 on the highway if i slowed down a bit..i always go like 80 all the way home....

    Chris

Was that a speed bump? No, just a Rice Rocket My 87 Blazer

I just averaged about 12mpg on the highway driving over th Rockies an a 460mile trip driving 70-75mph half of it going into a 40-60 mph wind the other half with the wind pushing me. ps I don't have any of the smog stuff got rid of that when I put the carter on. I also only have the 29" 235x75-15s Chris

I average 15mpg with 3.73s, 33s, dual cat back, FI 350 with MSD and a 165' stat. Just normal everyday driving with the odd bit of craziness thrown in for good measure.

Keep in mind that some of us use our Blazers as daily drivers year round..........5 MPG sure adds up to a lot of money at the end of the year.
