Well this is probably more of a rant than any thing else. Went to go deliver some stuff to the better half and realized the K-5 was in need of some fuel. I never really stopped to think (how much fuel was going to cost) that it takes 91 octane due to the 9.5:1 compression that it has. So I never skimp on fuel for the K-5 I always put good fuel in it from Mobil. Well when I pulled in I noticed that it's freakin $2.59 a gallon and 25.008 gallons and $65.00 later the K-5 was full and ready for the trip home.

The cheap crap around here is $2.09 a gallon.

What a freaking scam this fuel $hit is!!!

    RANT FREAKIN OFF!!!

Time to shoot your local speculator. We have the same volume of fuel in the market today as we did when the price was 1.09. I guess somebody needs to fund another CEO party where the statue is pissing vodka.

put a little bigger cam in it, it'll run on the cheap stuff. Vortecs run 9.6-9.7:1 and run great on 87 octane.

I second that. 9.5:1 doesn't or should require 91 octane unless you have your timing WAYYYY advanced
