Hey everybody, quick opinion/experience question. I got my 74 delivered last week and finally got the damn gas cap key today [IMG]. Would it be a good idea to drop the gas tank and dump it/clean it. I can guarantee it hasn't been run in about 16 months, maybe longer. Thanks!

If so, is there anything else I should do while I got the tank done?

Use the fuel.. Just go to a parts store and get some gas additive that'll remove moisture and clean out the fuel system. I bought my blazer that was sitting for months.. I just added some octane boost.. run's like a champ now..
So in my opinion, no need to drop the tank.

It's better to have it than to need it, than to need it and not have it !!!!
